How do sessions work?

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all sessions are currently conducted online (via Zoom) and this will continue for the foreseeable future. Zoom generally works very well and it means no one has to wear a mask, there are no travel issues, and you have more control over your time in the comfort of your own home.
Now that government restrictions are slowly lifting, I will soon be offering face to face sessions in my local area- the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (details to be added when possible.) I will continue to offer Zoom sessions for anyone across the UK who cannot physically attend or would prefer not to for whatever reason.

*THE INITIAL CONSULTATION*

This first session is a chance for you to talk to me about how you’d like hypnotherapy to help you. I gather some information in order to best support your needs. We talk about how the brain works, what is most relevant to you and how sessions are normally structured. It is an ideal opportunity for you to ask questions and express any concerns you might have.
The session is likely to last around an hour, after which I will send you a free relaxation recording which you can download and listen to each night (a key element of treatment.) If you are happy to proceed with sessions, I will also send you the following: A consent form including terms and conditions, payment details and confirmation of the day, time and location of sessions.

*SESSIONS IN GENERAL*

Each session is also roughly an hour long, on a weekly basis. Everyone is unique, so the number of sessions required will be dependent on what you need and each one will be tailored to you. Rough timescales below:
Anxiety/Stress/Depression/Confidence building – average between 6 to 12 sessions.
Straight forward phobia/fears – 4 sessions
Quitting Smoking session – 1 extended session lasting up to 2 hours (including Initial Consultation)
Most importantly, these sessions are confidential and a safe space for you.
